Signs You Need to Contact a Water Line Service
The main water line plays a vital role in the functioning of your home or business. This underground pipe provides a steady supply of clean, safe water to your sinks, showers, tubs, toilets, water filtration system, and any other appliance or fixture that uses water. Typically, the main water line is durably constructed and built to last; however, there are several factors that can damage the line, including tree roots, corrosion, blockages, and even poor-quality materials and improper installation.
The following are telltale signs that your main water line is damaged and you may need to have it repaired or replaced:
- Discolored water. If the water appears rust-colored, the water line could be corroded or dirt could be entering through cracks in the pipe.
- Soggy lawn. Damp spots in the lawn could indicate that your water line has cracked and is leaking.
- Low water pressure. If the water pressure is low and doesn’t resolve, you could be losing water through a crack in your water line.
