Pipe Lining Explained
You probably don’t think much about the condition of your sewer lines; that is until issues arise. A vital part of your plumbing system, the pipes that make up your sewer lines have a limited life span and are prone to root infiltration, deterioration, blockages, and corrosion.
Sewer lines are often overlooked until problems occur, but they play a crucial role in your plumbing system.
These pipes have a limited lifespan and are vulnerable to damage from factors like root growth, wear and tear, and corrosion.
Common issues include blockages, pipe deterioration, and root infiltration, which can disrupt proper sewage flow.
When sewer lines fail, clogs and sewage backups can happen, creating serious health hazards.
At Long Island Sewer and Water Main, rather than using traditional exaction methods to repair damaged sewer lines, we use trenchless “no dig” pipe lining. Instead of digging out the existing pipes to repair or replace them, with pipelining, new epoxy-saturated pipe tubes are placed into the pipes that are already in place, and steam or blue light LED technology is used, creating a new seal lining within the existing pipes.
